Weekend at a Fiber Show........

Adam and I spent the weekend at the "Fiber Christmas in July" show in Kellyville, Oklahoma.I've petted so much wool in all my life.We meet some new fiber people and had a great time.
Here is some of the things I had for sale and I can say that every dime I sold, I spent and maybe a bit more.hehe...

I wish I would have taken more pics of the whole room.
There was a lot of spinning and knitting going on.There was also classes all day long.
This was sheep-themed fused glass by "Paws & Reflect"
This little guy came home with me.It will go live with Auna Grace.
Pattern for this and many more very cute animals can be found at cheezombie.etsy.com

Thanks very much to Dana and Steve for hosting Adam and I for the night. We had a great time.

Visit to Dana and Steve's.....

This weekend Adam and I went to Dana of Cat in My Lap and her hubby Steve's home for a visit. We had a great time and we felt so welcome there.Dana feed us like Kings and Queens. The only downer of the weekend was that Daisy never showed herself all weekend.
We got there Friday night and dinner was waiting on us and the table looked beautiful. The next morning we awoke to find breakfast being cooked and then eating out side on the patio. Then we were off to a fiber show in Kellyville. After lots of shopping and a overload of wool we stopped and had lunch then we went to the Gilcrase Museum.WOW is all I can say about the museum. If you like Cowboy and Native American art it is a must see!!! Then it was back to their home for more great food.

Here is Dana and I with her oh-so-cute bike in her backyard.
This is her dry creek bed.I really loved this.

I wish you could have seen these in person.WoW

Now you can see Dana and I at our best....shopping for fiber.

This is what you call wool heaven.I came home with 2 pounds of roving and 2 bags of silk and one book.Dana can home with a new toy, but I am going to let her tell you about it.
I hope that some day Adam and I can make that trip again too make more memories.Thank you Dana and Steve for a great weekend.
Live Deeply and go make a new friend.

A Night Out....

Last night Adam and I went to Rogers for a pipe club meeting he wanted to go to. The old downtown part of Rogers has made a great comeback.I have not been to all the shops yet but I spent last night in a very sweet little shop."Knit Wicks"is a great yarn shop and they stay open late on Thursday nights, till 10:00.Now I do not knit, but I love yarn and roving and Elizabeth Hamrin owner (seen below) had made a homey atmosphere to come and sit for a bit and knit, crochet or in my case hook.
Tuesday,March 17 from 10-10 KnitWick's is having a St.Patty's day sale..EVEYTHING is on SALE!!!! I am going and if you are close you should stop by.I am starting a new rug soon and I need yarn for it.

I forgot to ask the name of this lady. She is working on a Ashford spinning wheel. One of these days I am going to learn to spin.

These are the hands of David that looked right at home in the middle of all the yarn.
Cindy was crocheting a baby blanket.

Clarissa was kniting but I never asked her what see was working on.I sat on a big comfy couch and talked to her and Cindy.Very nice ladies.
Live Deeply and go buy some yarn.

What a great day...

This past Saturday Adam and I when to the first ever Animal and Fiber Show in Fayetteville,Ar.I was in hog heaven, or should I say sheep heaven. There were hookers, spinners, weavers and knitters.

Here is my booth all set up.It was some much talking to all the people about my work with wool.

One sweet lady brought her giant bunny and she let me hold it.He was sooooo soft, I could have petted him all day.Not a good picture of me( I was out late the night before at the Mad Hatter Ball)

I wish I could remember names better. This lady started spinning so she could stop smoking and it worked.I cought her eatting here but if you look at her wheel, she is spinning silk.

Kathleen from the Rabbit's Lair was set up next to my with rug hooking wool.

Here are a few of the things that had been made by the ladies at the show.

I never did see who was working on this loom.I wish I could have packed in my jeep and brought it home with me.I really want to learn to spin and to weave.Maybe someday...
I learned so much about many kinds of sheep and bunnies and I think the ladies that put it on did a great job.
