March brings the next rug hooking camp in Eureka Springs,Arkansas and this year the teacher is Aileen Anderson of Hot Springs Village,Ar.
I love this pic of Aileen hard at work teaching a class at the 2010 NWA Hook-in.
Aileen has had a life long love of sewing and handwork. Starting at the are of 8 with doll clothes for her Barbie, she is rarely without something to work on.
Now days she is busy dyeing wool fabric and yarn for rug hooking and wool applique.
She loves to teach all styles and is an accredited McGown rug hooking instructor.Aileen has ongoing classes in Hot Springs Village and in Jacksonville, Ar. Her studio, Bear Creek Rugs,is located in Hot Springs Village,Ar.
This rug is a wonderful pattern Aileen has designed and she will be teaching the different techniques she used on it.
Beginners are welcome in this class, so if you are a first time hooker or have been hooking for years,Aileen will have great things to teach you.
Dates for this camp are March 23-26,2011. Arrival and setup is March 23 and class will be all day 24,25,26 going home on the 27th.
