Sneak Peek!!

I thought I would give you a sneak peek of with I am trying to work on.I say trying because I can not set for very long at a time because of my fall.I am just getting started on this rug and it has already changed from my plan. It has got much BIGGER than with I first thought it would be.It when from just a face to a whole tree.
This is some of the yarn that I handspun and I want to use it as a gnarly beard for my tree man.

I started back to work today so that is going to slow me down some but I hope this rug will go fast because I have the next one ready to go.
Live Deeply and try not to work to hard.

Wow, Vicki, this is really neat looking! I can hardly wait to see more updates on the hooking of your "tree man."

Did I miss something? You mentioned a fall! What happened? And are you okay?

Oh NO! You fell???? Hard on us old women! Understand about not being able to sit long!!! Bless your heart! Bum some of the magnesium oil from Amber!

Oh! the Tree Guy is great too! Can't wait to see this one finished!

hey chickie pooh! sorry to hear your bumm is still hurtin'.

your tree rug looks awesome already! did you get you a donut? also wondered what classes you're taking this year if any? The wet felter is coming back if you want to do that. I think my shoulder is giving me too many problems for it though.

Lordy we sound so old and gimped up!

I love the tree, can't wait to see as it progresses. I have taken some photos of trees with faces. I remember reading about some carvers who carve the spirit out of the tree.

I hope you feel better soon. I avoid falling, I have had enough of them;)

Hi Vicki,

I love what you are doing with your tree man. I have done several versions of tree man (which is different from the greenman) as several paintings,as a fimo free standing sculpture that I was barely able to get in the oven to bake, and as a soft sculpture doll with embroidery embellishments. I have been thinking of doing one myself and trying the felt plus hooking. Would it bother you or think I'm copying you if I did my own version of him? You can email me at fanxstitch@yahoo.com.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Vicki, As always your latest work blows me away!!! Hopefully I'll get to see it at the Eureka Springs hook-in. Are you going to be able to come to Springfield on the 18th for our hook-in? Hope so...
And is this Adam's music that's playing? Love it!
