I Just Love A Man on His Knees at My Feet......

Ha! not what you were thinking was it? You thought, it being Valentine's Day weekend Adam was doing something romantic didn't you? Well I may be weird but this is the way to my HEART.He thinks I'm kidding when I tell him he is at his sexiest when he is covered in sawdust and grout or any other home improvement related stuff.
We have finally started on the tile in my kitchen.I would never say that I nagged......but I think I may have pouted, batted my eyes, hinted a little...well maybe a lot. What do you think,it's not to much to carry a box of tile up the stairs (snow covered stairs) and then lay them all around the kitchen floor at the same time as you run to the couch and sit by your sweet hubby, grab the laptop and look up tile patterns on the WWW. Would you say that was nagging? I didn't think so either.I will keep you posted as we get more done.
Scrappy Stars is all hooked now.I went to Jody's house today and her, Annie and I hooked.I got the last little bit done and now I just have to press and then do the edge.
Closeup of the stars.I did not use near enough of me worm stash so I will come up with another rug to hook with them.

Live Deeply and Happy Valentine's Day.

Bluegrass Weekends...

The last two weekends we have been at bluegrass shows. Not that Adam watches the show, but I do. I find a place with good light and I sit up my chair and hook.Ryan, our grandson has went with us so I don't get as much hooking done.

Here you see Adam jamming. That what they do ,everyone stands in a circle and picks.
This is Ryan picking and singing for some ladies that came by.One sweet lady gave him $3.00 all in dimes and from that time on he wanted to stop everyone and sing to them. This was last weekend.

This weekend at the Eureka Springs Bluegrass Show Ryan was ready to pick some more. Here he is walking into the place everyone was to be jamming.

Here Ryan is getting a few pointers from Papaw.

Now they are really jamming.
Live Deeply and go jamming.

Great night with Family and fireworks...

This year, as last,we went to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge to enjoy the fireworks. They did a great job I might add.The staff of Turpentine Creek were there helping park cars, shooting off the fireworks and manning a food booth. There was places roped off for the people that wanted to shoot their own fireworks too.Everyone stayed safe and had a great time.
Here is Adam and his Mom.
I really wish I could get good pictures of the fireworks.

As you can see from the faces to was a great show.Fun for all ages.

I just had to show this great picture of my baby girl,Amber.Isn't she a beauty?I hope your Fourth-of -July was as good as ours.
Live Deeply and look to the sky for beauty.

Why I have not posted much?

I know I have not posted much this past month and I would like to say I am sorry.Below are two of the biggest reasons I have not been posting.First Adam has had so much going on with the band he has been in.Lots of nights we go right from work to band practice and then it is late when we get home.We both work 5 days a week and then some weekend he is playing both days.I try to be supportive and go with him when he plays but with working so much I am having a hard time getting all the household things done.I don't know how all you working Moms are getting things done.Help? Do you have hints for me.

The next thing stopping me from posting much is this cute little thing sitting in his Papaw's lap.Our grandson has been staying with us most weekends when his Mommy and daddy both have to work.I love having him here but I do know now why we have our kids when we are young. At 3 1/2 all he wants me to do is play with him.So I do.So much for the housework!

The Hook-in that I have been working on is this weekend and I can't wait.We have 140 people signed up for it right now.I know it is going to be GREAT.Be there or be square.get ready for lots of pictures from the Hook-in.

Live Deeply and go clean something.

A Few of My Favorite Things in 2008

2008 was year that started out with beauty and disruption. With spring, came rain, rain and more rain.Views like this were beautiful to see,but a few hours later it turned into the disruption of many lives. When the flood gates if beaver dam had to be open 9 feet and flooded everything down river.

We had waterfalls everywhere. Here you see Adam setting by one the just showed up over night.
The lake filled to the highest it had ever been.Picture here is Adam and a needle felted doll I started in a round robin.I have now worked on 3 of the dolls and have 4 more to go this next year.

I love this pic of Frank and his bagpipe.Frank is the hubby of one of the ladies I have meet through rug hooking.I now host two rug hooking camps a year and this is from the spring camp.

The light of my life is my grandson Ryan. Here him and Nana are playing at the park.Happy day!

Living on a like, you would think we would on a boat. But no,so a outing on a friends boat at sunset was beautiful.

A beading class through ESSA with Elanor Lux was a highlight in this year.

I spent alot of time in the great outdoors this year taking pictures. If you look very close you can see many things God put on the earth.
Adam and Ryan doing Papaw's favorite thing.

This is the summer rug hooking camp with Nola Heidbreder.

I hope 2009 will be a blessing to everyone.

Birthdays and House Concert...

This week was Adam's birthday.Dang! he is getting old.His Mom is here for a visit and our daughter and grandbaby came out for cake and icecream.Amber made her Dad a cake with no flour because he is allergic to flour.

Friday night Adam's band played a house concert and the Pontica Coffee House is Springdale Ar.This is a great place that started it's life as a Pontica car dealership. It was built by the grandfather of the lady that now runs the coffee house.

The coffee shop is in the part that housed the new cars and they hold the concerts in the back where they used to work on the cars.
By-the-way they make GREAT coffee.

Above is Adam at his best.He and his banjo are like peas and carrots. He has been playing the banjo sense he was 16 and he started playing the mandolin at 3.He can not read music but plays by ear and can play anything with strings.

This is the whole band New Highway: from the left...Karen and Tim Hill,Ken Jones,Adam Hardcastle and Dallas Prouty.
Stateline Bluegrass Band was also there but none of my pictures of them were any good.

All setup....well almost....

I spent all day at War Eagle Craft Show today get my booth setup. The day started out warm, but as the day went on it started to rain and then it got cooler.

After Adam got off work he came over to "help", he did bring me a coat so that did help me a lot.In this pic Adam is setting in front of the rug patterns I have for sale.

Here is a long shot of my booth. It was starting to get dark so it is a little hard to see.

One of the things I have been making for years is Beaver Wood Santa's,Hill Billy's,Witches and Gnomes.Above are some Santa's and below are Gnomes.
