Snow, Snow Everywhere.....

I thought I would show you a few pics of the last snow storm we had.It looks beautiful but I am ready for it to go away.Even the lake has frozen over.
I love the view from our house. That is my daughter's VW bug setting down by the road as they could not get it up the drive because of the last snow storm we had and then we got all this.
That is 13 ins. of snow in one day.I am ready for sun shine and lots of it. How about you?

Tile All Done....Oh What a Day....

Well, all the tile in the kitchen and entry hall id done.I am so happy with how it turned out.We do what they call a cobblestone pattern and I really like it.Adam did a great job.
This was my part of the job. This is our entry hall in the back of the house. We use this door all the time.We live on Beaver Lake so I thought it would be fun to put a beaver in the tile.I can say one thing about mosaic work,it takes a lot of time.I was on my knees for about 4 hours. But, I really love how he turned out.

Here is a view of Beaver Lake this morning. We are having a beautiful day today and I hope you are too.
Live Deeply and go soak up some sun.

A Few of My Favorite Things in 2008

2008 was year that started out with beauty and disruption. With spring, came rain, rain and more rain.Views like this were beautiful to see,but a few hours later it turned into the disruption of many lives. When the flood gates if beaver dam had to be open 9 feet and flooded everything down river.

We had waterfalls everywhere. Here you see Adam setting by one the just showed up over night.
The lake filled to the highest it had ever been.Picture here is Adam and a needle felted doll I started in a round robin.I have now worked on 3 of the dolls and have 4 more to go this next year.

I love this pic of Frank and his bagpipe.Frank is the hubby of one of the ladies I have meet through rug hooking.I now host two rug hooking camps a year and this is from the spring camp.

The light of my life is my grandson Ryan. Here him and Nana are playing at the park.Happy day!

Living on a like, you would think we would on a boat. But no,so a outing on a friends boat at sunset was beautiful.

A beading class through ESSA with Elanor Lux was a highlight in this year.

I spent alot of time in the great outdoors this year taking pictures. If you look very close you can see many things God put on the earth.
Adam and Ryan doing Papaw's favorite thing.

This is the summer rug hooking camp with Nola Heidbreder.

I hope 2009 will be a blessing to everyone.

A night on the lake.

Friday night Adam and I were invited to go for a boat ride and dinner with one of the guys we work with and his wife.Even thought Adam and I live on Beaver Lake, we have been on it by boat very few times. When we got done with work we all went down to the boat dock that we have right there at work.Yes, you can come by boat to visit the cave.It was Dan and Michelle,Dennis and Vicki (owners of the cave) and Adam and I.

This is Dan driving the boat Vicki in back and Michelle (who turned just as I snapped this pic.

Adam sure know how to kickback.

Here is a view of the lake as we got into the bigger part of the like. The cave is at the back of Devil's Gap.

Just after we eat we watched the sun set. What a site it was too.The only bad thing about the trip was that I was sick.I had started with a bad cold that day so I was cold and felt like crap the whole time.Dan said we could do it again when I feel better so I can enjoy it more.
I have been sick all weekend and today too.Not sure what more I can do to make this cold go away.I HATE TO BE SICK....
