Spring War Eagle Craft Fair is Almose Here!

Just so you know why you have not heard much from me in the last week or two.I have been getting ready for the Spring War Eagle Craft Fair.It starts tomorrow May 1 and go till Sunday May 3.
This is what things looked like as I got started. If you remember I lost my big tent to the ice storm we had in Feb. so I had to get a new one and I waited to late. I had to make-do with one that is not near as good as my last one and it did not have sides with it so I am having to use my old sides. They don't look very good so I will have to hide them so how.
Here are a two of the needle felted pins I made.

Crazy man,crazy.

Here are some hooked sunflowers that I will have there.

Here you see two of the driftwood men I have made.I will try to show you pics of the show everyday.
Live Deeply and come see me at the Fair.

OH!!! What A Day......

Yesterday was the Eureka Springs' Preservation Society's "Simply Scrumptious"at the Conservatory of the Crescent Hotel. This event was to raise money for the hanging flower baskets in downtown Eureka. The Society started with 12 tables and then asked 12 people it design a setting for "Spring". What I am going to show you next will blow-you-away.I wish my pictures did more justice to each table."Dana" at "Cat in my Lap" has a lot more pictures and SHE remembered each designers name,so pop over to her blog too and see more.
I was able to talk Adam into dressing to match my design.

Charleen chaired this event and I have to say it was the best thing I have been to in a long time.Great job,Charleen!!!

This is what meet you at the door as you came in. Each lady received a long stemmed rose and the men received a lapels rose.By-the-way,this good looking guy is Jimmy ( sorry ladies he is taken) Charleen nabbed him up a long time ago.

Here I am with my table. As you can see I went" Cowboy" or should I say "Cowgirl".Now just set back and enjoy the pictures.

Live Deeply and go eat some cake.

Hope you had a Happy Easter....

I hope you all had a very happy Easter and I hope yours was drier then ours.We had 3-4 ins of rain on Sunday and it was a nasty mess.I wanted to show you a few pictures of grandson Ryan's Easter.
Here he is at church after a egg hunt inside one of the class rooms. He looked so cute in his hat.

Here he has his mom's apron on as we dyed eggs.

This is some of his egg art.He had the help of his Mom,Nana and his Great grandma.

Last Thursday I was back a Knit Wicks on Rogers for another spinning lesson. This time I wanted to learn to ply two pieces together to make a yarn.
My plan is to dye this to a dark red to use in a rug I am planning.
I had many people ask about my fall so I thought I would tell you what happened.About two weeks ago we had a very hard rain storm and I had left a window open in the basement soooooo I when running down the front stairs (that are outside) and not one but both of my feet went right out from under me and I landed right on my butt. Now for those of you that have seen me ,you know that is my most padded part. But some how I think I broke my tail bone and I am having a lot of trouble sitting.I am feeling a little better tonight so I wanted to post for you.

Sneak Peek!!

I thought I would give you a sneak peek of with I am trying to work on.I say trying because I can not set for very long at a time because of my fall.I am just getting started on this rug and it has already changed from my plan. It has got much BIGGER than with I first thought it would be.It when from just a face to a whole tree.
This is some of the yarn that I handspun and I want to use it as a gnarly beard for my tree man.

I started back to work today so that is going to slow me down some but I hope this rug will go fast because I have the next one ready to go.
Live Deeply and try not to work to hard.

Two Down and One to Go....

I thought I would show you what I have got done the week. This first little is just something I started in between some of the other things I have been working on. Last month when the power was out I could not see to find the wool I needed for the next part of the rug I was working on then so I grabbed a small piece of monks cloth and my worm basket and this is what can out.

And here is my angel all done, well all but the binding.I wish the color showed better. The background is dark green. She is hooked in #3 cut.I hope my teacher approves of her.

She is a redhead like me,but I have never been that angelic.hehe

Live Deeply and go see what you have in your worm basket.
