Bishop Inn Hook-In.....Great Time.

 This Saturday was the Hook-In at Bishop Hill Illinois. We had a great time hooking and talking.

 We had a show-and-tell,but I did not get the names of everyone so you will have to just enjoy the pictures.

 This is Sally Kallin with "Pine Inland Primitives". She is helping this young lady pick wool for her very first rug.

 The two ladies sitting are my new baby hookers.They wanted to learn how to hook so Ella asked me to get them stated.I really had a great time teaching them.

 Sally was the vender for the hook-in and boy did she have some beautiful wool and patterns.And just to give you a heads-up, she will be at Eureka Springs Rug Camp in March 2013.More info to come.

Why I have not posted much?

I know I have not posted much this past month and I would like to say I am sorry.Below are two of the biggest reasons I have not been posting.First Adam has had so much going on with the band he has been in.Lots of nights we go right from work to band practice and then it is late when we get home.We both work 5 days a week and then some weekend he is playing both days.I try to be supportive and go with him when he plays but with working so much I am having a hard time getting all the household things done.I don't know how all you working Moms are getting things done.Help? Do you have hints for me.

The next thing stopping me from posting much is this cute little thing sitting in his Papaw's lap.Our grandson has been staying with us most weekends when his Mommy and daddy both have to work.I love having him here but I do know now why we have our kids when we are young.At 3 1/2 all he wants me to do is play with him.So I do.So much for the housework!

The Hook-in that I have been working on is this weekend and I can't wait.We have 140 people signed up for it right now.I know it is going to be GREAT.Be there or be square.get ready for lots of pictures from the Hook-in.

Rock Creek Hook-in 2009 Lenexa,Kansas

I just got home from Lenexa and I wanted to post some pictures tonight.I am have a hard timing this so here are a few and I will be back tomorrow and post some more.Jody and I had a great time and it was seeing faces I knew and meeting some new people too.

On My Way to Lenexa,Kansas...

Tomorrow my friend Jody and I will be off the Lenexa,Kansas for the Rock Creek Hook-in and Rug Show.Saturday, Feb. 28,2009 from 9:00 till 3:00 at the Lenaxa Community Center.This will be a great day of hooking.Well I should not say that , because I never hook when I get there,I spend my time talking, shopping and looking at all the rugs.


I don't know how many hookers show up,but I can say it is a bunch.It is so much fun to see what each person is working on.I love to walk around the tables and talk to everyone.

I will be looking at the whole thing from a different view this year so I can have good pictures for you to see.If you are there please say hi to me, I am the redhead with hair to my butt.
This was a rug that was there last year.I wish I could remember who hooked it.I do remember that the lady that brought it was asked to finish it.It was lovely.
