Here are some more pictures from Lenexa's hook-in.The crowd was a little smaller then last year because of the 5-6 ins.of snow that started falling early Saturday and almost all day.I have never been to this hook-in that something was not falling from the sky,but that has not stopped me from going yet.
You can see here that a lot of talking was going on.I told Jody as we were leaving that I had flapped my lips so much talking, that they were chapped.
One of the ladies I meet there was Ginger of "
primitives by the light of the moon". I wish I would have thought to get her picture. She was very sweet and I hope to meet her again.Ginger, if you read this I hope you will come to the Eureka Springs Hook-in.
Here you can some of the vender's booths and the people shopping.I think there was a lot more men there this year.
One of the groups had this great vest with their group name on them.
I have never seen JoJo that she is not smiling like this. Some of you may know her from "Wool Snippets".
Here you she Jody talking to Katie from Townsend cutters and as you can see Katie was busy writing orders.
The next tree pictures are all one rug.I wish I would have asked how big it was,my
guess would be 5 foot by 7 foot.

Vicki~ It was so good to meet you in person at Lenexa. I'm sure hoping to attend the Eureka Springs Hook~in so keep us all updated. Might even bring the hubby along for the ride!

VIcki,
Love seeing the pictures of the show and our fellow snippet friends.

Hi Vicki,
I stumbled across your blog while looking for hooking resources in Arkansas. I'm an Arkansan living in Connecticut, and will be back home for a couple of weeks this spring. I'd love for any tips as to where to scope out rug hooking "stuff" while I'm visiting home!!
Thanks!

Vicki, you got so many more pictures than I did. Of course, I wasn't the one carrying the camera. Hubby was. And I'm STILL waiting for him to download the pictures from the camera so I can try and figure out how to post them on Snippets.
Did you see that huge "Life's Story" rug done by Marilyn Schmidt? Marilyn gave credit to Emma Lou Lais, who was the designer, but I was stunned by this rug!
And oh, what a terrible picture of me! Then again, I'm not out to impress anyone....what you see is what you get. I love hooking, I love hookers. But most of all, I love going to Lenexa.
burt's bees lip balm girlie!
glad you got to go! love ya.
Hi Vicki :) Oh, if I would have been feeling more 'myself' I would have stopped you in the crowd. We actually did get a chance to meet last year briefly. My SIL and I are talking about Eureka Springs & have hopes to go. I'll be sure to stop you if/when we get there!
Smiles,
Betty
Love all your pictures!! It is so fun to finally meet someone in PERSON when you only talk on the internet isn't it???
What an amazing variety of rugs and how lovely - was tickled to see some wise husband has come along with a good book to read!
